Our Story

Y'all, We were not walking with the LORD. We had grown up in Godly homes, with great parents, we went to great Christian homeschool groups, we went to church twice a week and paid our tithes. We were even part of small groups and fellowshipped with other believers. 

But were our lives submitted to Yeshua? Nope. Did our house look like anything different than the rest of our culture around us? Nope.

 I was just as addicted to my phone, the television, and sinful carnality as my unbelieving coworkers. I had the same movies and books on my bookshelves. I was 26 years old and had never read through the entire Bible. 

But one day I looked at my life, and who I had been saying I was, and I cried out to the LORD. I asked Him to change me, and to give me a passion for His word. 

He heard me. And He changed everything. 

The Result? 

God radically changed everything in our lives, from the food that we eat, to the things that we read, to our very thought processes. He gave me such a love for His Word that I began reading it like it was the only book on the planet, and I was shocked at what I found inside. It stirred me to action. When we humbled ourselves and got before the LORD we asked Him to change our whole lives, and He started with our home. 

God really zeroed in on what we had been allowing in our home, and when we started to look around with His eyes, we were shocked at how far from His standards we had come. But He did not leave us to do it alone. Over the next months He walked with us, sat with us at our table, and strengthened us to start getting our house looking like His house.

He didn't stop there though. The God of the Bible stepped into our home and began to inspire us to fill some of the holes that had been created by removing some of the things that did not please Him. 

That's when Shabbat Stories was born. And after that, came the idea for BetBox. Now we want to share what God did in our lives with your family too.
